Presenter:
Karen B. White

Karen is assistant vice president and Relationship Manager for the Public Finance Division in Houston and surrounding communities. Karen provides tailored solutions to meet the banking, investment and insurance needs of nonprofits and municipalities.

Karen has over twenty-six years experience in financial management, organizational leadership and leadership development. Formerly, she served as leadership development manager with United Way of Greater Houston. She has served as vice president of finance and chief financial officer for two of Houston’s premier nonprofits; as well as general manager and loan and collections manager of Federal and State Credit Unions in New Orleans.

Karen holds a master’s degree in business administration from Texas Southern University and graduated cum laude from Nicholls State University, Thibodaux, La. with a bachelor’s degree in education.

Active in the local community, Karen serves on the board of directors of Catholic Charities Galveston/Houston, advisory board and finance committee of Christus Foundation for HealthCare and on the audit committee of Collaborative for Children. She is also a member of the Center for Houston’s Future Civic/Business Leadership Forum, one of the premier leadership development programs in Houston.
